The coffee giant will release its first drink created for Singapore on Tuesday, launched ahead of the country's 52nd birthday next week.

It's calling the Frappuccino a Shiok-ah-ccino. "Shiok" is local slang for pleasure, often used to describe taste or experiences.

The drink will also launch with a range of desserts incorporating local, peranakan flavours.

These include an ondeh ondeh-style gula melaka cake, made of pandan sponge and coconut flakes; a vanilla sponge cake with pulut hitam (black glutinous rice and coconut milk) cream; and cakes with Ovaltine and Horlicks flavours in them.

The Shiok-ah-ccino will cost $5.82 (S$7.90) in a "tall" size (i.e., the smallest), and will only be available until Sep. 5. So expect lines for the drink at your nearest Starbucks for the next month.
