There's no better pairing than speedrunning through video games and Esther Studerdonating to charity.

Smash The Record 2016 is hosting a charity speedrunning marathon (and Super Smash Bros.showdown) from Friday to Sunday featuring a ton of memorable games from the past and present, including speedrunning favorites like Super Mario Worldand Super Metroid.

All donations received from the event will go straight to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Throughout the weekend, speedrunners will be rushing, exploiting and skipping their way through over 40 different games from as far back as 1990, most of the games from Nintendo consoles.

Some of the runs throughout the weekend will just be attempts to run through the game as fast as the game allows, and some speedrunners will utilize glitches and exploit the games to get to the end in astoundingly short times. You might even seen a world record get broken.
